Locally grown foods play an important role in maintaining a healthy, robust supply of nutritionally superior and carefully tended food grown and produced in a manner attentive to the well being of the people that eat it and the land on which it is produced. Craft foods consume considerably less of the limited supply of natural resources that we have. Study after study has demonstrated the importance of craft grown local food to the statewide economy.
